  • Is a casket required for cremation: A casket is not required for cremation; the crematory does requires the use of an "alternative container" a rigid combustible container which is used for cremation.

  • Is embalming required for cremation: Embalming is not required for cremation. We are required by law to hold remains under refrigeration within 24 hours of coming into our care.

  • What does "final place of disposition" mean: That refers to the final placement of the cremated remains; it can be burial in a cemetery plot; scattering at sea, over 500 yards off the coast; or keeping at home, you will then need to make provisions for them upon your passing.

  • Do you accept pre-paid plans from other cremation services: In most cases yes, of course we would review your plan and paperwork with you first.

  • Should I consider planning ahead: We believe that planning ahead allows your family the peace of mind knowing they honoring your wishes and that the details have been put down on paper by you; but only you can decide for yourself. You may call for an appointment and we can meet with you and answer any questions you may have regarding making pre-arrangements.
